Recent Development Efforts and Expansion
HVP is excited to announce the successful closures of two significant developments. Dallas Heart & Vascular, the company’s first location in Southern Dallas, officially closed on May 5. This strategic expansion marks HVP’s entry into the Dallas market, with plans for further geographical expansion and the addition of more physicians and service lines. HVP’s CFO, Matt Middendorf, and the new VP of Operations, Robert Davis, based in Dallas, have played pivotal roles in integrating Dallas Heart & Vascular Consultants into the HVP network.
Another milestone achievement is the closure of Colorado Springs Cardiology on May 16. This acquisition adds 20 physicians and further strengthens HVP’s presence in the Colorado Springs area. The successful integration of this leading cardiology care provider into the HVP network will unlock the potential for independent cardiovascular care and drive improvements in access, quality, efficiency, and economics. HVP recognizes the outstanding efforts of COO Peter Burd and Tiffani Mauro for their instrumental roles in facilitating a seamless transition.
Continued Growth and Expansion
HVP remains committed to expanding its presence in prioritized markets and forging strategic partnerships. The company has letters of intent in place to invest in select practices in both Texas and Colorado, which will bolster its existing teams and enhance its market presence. Additionally, HVP’s focus on new markets is guided by a thorough evaluation process under the leadership of Trey Domann. The company seeks partnerships in markets where it can collaborate with clear leaders in the cardiovascular space, benefit from favorable policies and regulations, and tap into the potential for long-term migration to value-based care.
Momentum and Organizational Updates
HVP and its partner practices experienced a successful first quarter of 2023. The company’s prioritized initiatives, tailored to each practice’s specific needs, have shown promising progress and are on track to achieve their objectives. The positive impact is evident not only in the financial results but also in the growth of new patients, the recruitment of top talent, and the operational efficiencies gained through HVP’s human resources, revenue cycle management, and financial/accounting teams.
HVP continues to strike a balance between controlled expenses, team growth, and practice performance.
